Visit Qazvin

If you aim to visit Qazvin, you would better have a short glimpse of our brief article about this city. As an ancient capital of Persian Empire, which is around 2000 km from Tehran, Qazvin dates back to 9000 ago, this is what urban agricultural settlements that have been found indicate. There are some archeological excavations, one of which is the ruins of Meimoon Ghal-e in the middle of the city.
There are some other old buildings dating back to the period when Qazvin was capital of Sassanid Empire, the most significant is Chehel sotoun, Qazvinz, these days a museum in downtown Qazvin. There are several other buildings such as Jame' Atiq Mosque of Qazvin where you come across the signs of 3 dynasties of Iran, Safavid, Seljuq and Qajar, its entrance Majesric brick decoration. There are other important Qazvin Sights that are worth visiting such as Caravanserai of Sa'd al-Saltaneh, Qajar Bathhouse & Anthropology Museum, Alamut Valley and Castles of the Assassins.
